Married life.
People keep asking me how married life is.. so here goes.. So far, its been just as much fun as my unmarried life with Nova always was.
I had 2 weeks left on my contract with Voca when we got back, and the easter holidays was in that 2 weeks as well.
So works been a bit cruisey since we got back.
Tim and Jenny arrived a day or so after we did, and we took them out to see rickmansworth, as well as a walking tour of london that involved getting soaked to the bone and buying dry sox. (as well as lots of ales).
John and alice got engaged! Which neatly puts a time frame on Nov and my coming back to visit aus. Thanks guys, its great to have somthing to look forward to.
Friday was my leaving do at Voca, actually we had a 4 hour lunch on thursday too, with my boss and agent, but friday was the big one. I had every intention of going back to work for the afternoon, but just as we were planning on heading back (4pm) another load of people came down, rightly assuming that we would still be in the pub :-) So we kicked on till 9pm.
Im gonna miss voca, especially the commute (2 mins walk from home), it was the longest contract, and really the longest job ive ever had. You really cant complain about a 3 month contract streaching out to 25 months.
Ive chatted to a couple of agents about where ill go next, but the markets been dead in the run up to easter and only really picked up on thursday, so it looks like ill start looking in earnest on Monday.
Novas got a job interview on wednesday as well, but thats such an unbelievably great opportunity that ill not jinx it by getting my hopes up. :-)
We hung our 6ft wide Rod Moss in the lounge room a couple of nights ago and it looks great, the weathers warming up, there's buds on all the trees and the dafodils have been and gone already, and im listening to an old vinyl of banjo folk that nova found somwhere.
So yeah, married life is great.
